Student Digital Storytelling
Research topics, digital stories, and other projects posted by CCC students from instructions in course.
Digital Story student productions usually use free downloads of movie editors and sound recordings. Three minutes is the typical length, personal voice over telling about a place of choice, music in the background; one of the slides shows a map of where the place is. Student productions are published to youtube or vimeo then shared using embed code for future students to view, too.
There are quides to digital storytelling online at places like

Latrell and I chose The Bahamas because we are both from there. The Bahamas is an archipelago made up of 700 islands and cays. From those islands and cays, I am from Nassau, which is the capital. Nassau is home to one of the many tourist attractions, such as Atlantis.
In The Bahamas, we are known for our culture. Our culture consists of our tasty dishes, our alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, and lastly our cultural festival, Junkanoo. Junkanoo is very popular culture for The Bahamas, around Summer, Boxing Day, and New Year’s Day.
The Bahamas has beautiful waters, where you can find the most exotic fishes. One fish is the Blue Marlin, which is our national fish. There are not many, but you can find maybe 2 on a blue moon, in the waters of Bimini Island.
(Latrell Taylor)
The second city of The Bahamas is known as Freeport, back in 2019 the city was devastated by a hurricane, Dorian. Thousands of lives were lost and hundreds of hearts were broken. Despite all the tragedy, Bahamian people are some of the most resilient people I know. Through time and time again we continue to show our strength, thus letting everyone know that we are the best little country in the world!
The national flower of this beautiful country is the yellow elder, this flower can be found all over Grand Bahama. The flower is bright yellow with normally 5 petals, they tend to be bunched up with other flowers most of the time.

Hawaii
Hawaii is a group of volcanic islands in the central Pacific Ocean. The land area of the state of Hawaii consists of the tops of a chain of emerged volcanic mountains that form 8 major islands and 124 islets, stretching in a 1,500-mile crescent from Kure island in the west to the island of Hawaii in the east. The islands lie 2,397 miles from San Francisco, California, to east and 5,293 miles from Manila, in the Philippines to the west. The capitol is Honolulu, located on the island of Oahu.
Hawaii is economically vigorous, with diversified agriculture and manufacturing. Plants that we researched and found interesting are bizarre and unique.
